Dr. Yates performs PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) treatments and if this therapy is appropriate for your hair restoration, your PRP treatment can start when you come in for your consultation. PRP is put into a syringe and is placed into the treatment site, which will either be the area in which you are experiencing hair loss or the surgical site. PRP can be used in conjunction with surgical hair restoration or on its own. Before PRP is injected, Dr. Yates will typically give patients some local anesthesia with 1% lidocaine.

Results will start to show in about 2- 4 months and will last for about 6-12 months. This will vary per patient. You will need to continue having treatments in order to maintain the results.

PRP hair restoration treatments will take about 30-60 minutes. Patients are able to see the benefits of their treatments since they are all monitored photographically. Dr. Yates will alter your treatment schedule based on how you are responding to the treatment.
